What's needed for the Schedule?

Some students have difficulty interpreting the schedule and other guidelines.
just inquiring about what exactly is required for the 7 page schedule for the proj management project...
i have included the overview/milestone page, aon network,a project data sheet, the gant chart, gant chart with just the critical path, a personnel histogram, risks and a document explaining how the schedule was derived...
That's quite a literal interpretation of the guideline. It will remain to be seen whether these seven pages explain the time-based view of the project plan in a concise and coherent way. This is the real criterion.

Common faults include:
  • Having too many pages or poor scaling (too big or too small) in Gantt charts.
  • Not explaining the broad structure of the schedule.
  • Repeating the same data in Gantt charts and network views for no good reason.
  • Shifting tasks about with fixed dates rather than by using proper dependencies.
A good schedule presentation can be studied in 5 minutes giving a reliable impression of how the project works. There shouldn't be any need to lay the pieces in the office floor. A good schedule portion of the project plan will also be usuable for detailed analysis. Therefore you might choose to have a mixture of summary charts and detail charts, perhaps in different styles.
