Various questions - Wonder Bar

For the production of the Bastion it says that 'the train driver is a CS and her mate'. Does this mean that her mate is just chilling with her or that she's part of the project team and needs to be taken account of? Is her mate a CS?

"Mate" as in

3 an assistant or deputy, in particular • an assistant to a skilled worker : a plumber's mate. • a deck officer on a merchant ship subordinate to the master.


Can a CS move onto another task once they are finished with what they're doin? Can we relocate resources between different production sections?

Yes, the CS's are generally generalists, except in the special cases of them being specialists.

The coursework mentions 1 cup of Ointment, but there is no cost associated with this measure, how many cups are in a tub?

A tub is about the same a Firkin.


Similarly, the Chief CS's cup of Gloop and Bits does not specify how many Bits

Oh dear. The information isn't perfect.

The briefing mentions 1 tub of wonderous humour, but how many tubs are in a vial? should we estimate this cost based on a 52 week year considering these are weekly amounts, and the vial lasts one year?

That should be enough then.

Laughing gas is bubbled through the mixture, but how much?

You don't want to overdo it.

There is no cost associated with the "Pages from a Magazine", but if they are ingredients surely they should cost?

Not just any magazine either. The subscription is free, but they don't just give it out to anybody.

The amount of liquified Thinking gas is not mentioned.

Now let me think about it....

The CS costs 100 Nov. Gr. per hour, but how much does the CS's Assistant charge?

Charge? Tell them to stop running!

The planner should identify missing information, construct reasonable estimates if possible, and explain the existence of the gaps if not. If there are resources, such as skill or information, that cannot easily be reproduced then the plan should declare that.
