URGENT NOTICE Project Plan Coursework

This post is for term 2 students (groups B and D) only.

We have just found out that MSc students from the Mech Eng department have exams in March, and so won't be available for lectures or coursework for about the last three weeks of term.

Therefore - we have to make some changes to the project plan coursework groups to accommodate this. This is what we will do:

Students who are MSc Mech Eng or MSc Power Systems should only work with each other, and not in a mixed degree group as we had previously requested. This will require you to leave your existing group and form new ones amongst yourselves. We will then give you a different deadline which takes account of your exam commitments.

But please stay in your same tutor groups - Group B to work with other Group B students from MSc Mech Eng degrees only and likewise Group D with other Group Ds only. Don't form groups comprising a mix of B and D students.

Other students - some (but not all) of you may need to re-form your groups and link up with other students that have lost group members to form new groups. We recognise that the mixed degree requirement is no longer practical, so - on the plus side - you might get to work with your mates if you are in an affected group. Please find new group members soonest so that you can start work. Your deadline won't change.

If you don't have any MSc Mech Eng or Power Systems students in your group - then do nothing. Carry on as you are.

I'm sorry to ask you to do this having previously asked you to form mixed groups. No-one told us about these Mech Eng exams until this week!

We will send out an e-mail confirming this, plus the new deadlines for the Mech Eng exam students.
