Exam Advice Please....
Student L asked us today:
Hello Student L! I guess you weren't there at our last session of term....
OK - so here it is one by one...
Yes - bullet points are fine, but ensure these are extended bullet point formats. We explained all of this in the last lecture - where were you?!!
If you want to see us personally then come to the revision session on 24th April which is a walk-in session. We also highlighted this at the last session....See the course outline or the Blog (a previous post) for details.
Matt and I are very happy to see students - individually also - but not when they are asking to see us individually because they haven't read course materials or attended sessions. We can't make special arrangements for those situations. (It's not practical - too many students missed the last session, and we couldn't possibly offer to all)
See you on the 24th!
I was wondering whether it was OK if I answered the exam questions in bullet point form, which would save time whilst making it easier and clearer for marking.
And also, are either of you in Uni before the exams, if I should need to see you personally, when would be the best time - I think my main problem is exam technique with this type of exam, as I am more familiar with mathematical type exams and do not expand where necessary in answering questions (as seen in my coursework 2 - very disappointing - you're sure to see significant improvement in the exam)
So perhaps you could tell me when/if your'e in uni, if I should need advice
